The Signal Box Cafe - Totnes

Today we went out for breakfast in one of our more local places, the Signal Box Cafe, located at Totnes Railway Station. The service was pleasant, they were happy so swap things around for me, which is a BIG plus, as I don't like mushrooms or tomatoes, instead of which I got an extra egg and hashbrown. The food arrived quickly, another plus point for them, as well as proper mugs of tea. It was all nicely cooked, if a bit too small, but at only £3.95 you could easily add a few extra things and it still be a reasonable price. I personally would get more beans, an extra slice of toast, and maybe an extra hashbrown and/or egg, if I hadn't already swapped things for them. Another great thing is that they use free range eggs, which is fairly important to us. My only major complaint is that they have no Quorn or Quorn-type sausages or what have you. So all in all, a nice breakfast, good for if your waiting for a train, or simply in the area. Good customer service, nicely cooked food, but a little on the small side.

A morning without breakfast...

We didn't go out to breakfast today. But we are going to go out tomorrow. And the next day. And the next day.  We'll tell you all about it...
